We invite schools to explore the Museum as part of a self-guided visit, but are not offering guided exhibition tours, add-on programs, or classes at your school at this time. Please check back later.
Pre-K – 12th Grade
Conduct your own self-guided visit any time of year and discover the unique evolution and biodiversity of southern California and the peninsula of Baja California. Topics to explore with your group include: geology, paleontology, evolution, and ecology. Use our free Exhibition Educator Guides to complement your museum visit. Teachers may preview general admission exhibitions for free with valid identification. Self-Guided Visits do not include special exhibitions.
Fee: $10 per student
Group size: 10 student minimum
Chaperones: We require a 1:8 chaperone to student ratio, but will allow up to a 1:3 ratio. Chaperones receive free general admission.
Want to dive deeper? The Nat offers educator-led classes, guided exhibition tours, and more. These additional activities enhance any visit. Click on your grade level to see what we offer.
